Co-founder and CEO of With Honor, Marine Corps veteran, social entrepreneur, and author

Rye Barcott is a Marine Corps veteran, social entrepreneur, and author of the new book Courage Can Save US: Ten Extraordinary Americans and the Fight for Our Future.

He is co-founder and CEO of With Honor, a cross-partisan organization that fights polarization by supporting principled veteran leadership in public office. Since 2018, the organization has helped elect more than 100 veterans and national security professionals, including 50 who now serve in Congress, and has helped pass more than 200 bipartisan laws.

While serving in the Marines, Barcott co-founded CFK Africa, a locally led youth leadership and public health organization based in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya. His first book, It Happened on the Way to War: A Marine's Path to Peace, tells the story of that work.

He holds his MBA and MPA from Harvard University, where he was a Center for Public Leadership Fellow, and his BA in Peace, War, and Defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an NROTC scholar. He received an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters from Dartmouth College.
