About Newport Global Summit

Mission & Purpose

The Newport Global Summit, Inc. exists to strengthen legacy, knowledge, and purpose through convening. We bring together leaders of the U.S. and global economy, along with family business owners from around the world, to engage in meaningful dialogue, share expertise, and shape the future of business and society.

We focus on the most current and consequential issues impacting the global economy, including the geopolitical forces influencing business, investment, and innovation. Through open dialogue and strategic exchange, we help leaders navigate and address today’s complex economic and societal challenges—across arenas such as artificial intelligence, real estate, financial investment, and technology.

Annual Summit

Established in 2009, the annual Newport Global Summit is our signature event. During this two-day retreat participants gain insights from industry experts and engage in highly interactive roundtable discussions designed to foster collaboration, alignment, and forward-thinking solutions. By uniting diverse perspectives and backgrounds, we create an environment where leaders can learn from one another, deepen relationships, and more intentionally invest in the arenas that shape our shared future—both locally and globally.

Setting & Spirit
The Summit convenes in historic Newport, Rhode Island—a place defined by its colonial heritage and Gilded Age legacy, set along the shores of the Atlantic. In this setting, rich with history and entrepreneurial spirit, we reflect on the past while exploring new pathways for innovation, growth, and enduring economic prosperity.

  • The predecessor company to NGS was 7Sisters LLC, which was the founding organization of NGS. At its early inception, NGS was formed as a US Arab Leadership Retreat. The event was rebranded as Newport Global Summit in 2015 as global participation grew. See the letter from our Founder for more information.

  • Our primary services revolve around the annual Summit. We are hoping to expand programming as we grow and receive funding. The flagship event takes place each year, the second to last week in August in Newport, Rhode Island.

  • NGS provides impact to hundreds of attendees—fostering meaningful relationships, driving business opportunities, and catalyzing collaborations across a wide range of industries and sectors. Attendees are highly accomplished, intellectually curious thought leaders who are enriched not only by insight and education, but by lasting friendships and meaningful, long-term relationships.

    Today, NGS represents a global community of entrepreneurs, notable investors, family business principals, academics, economists, and cultural influencers who come together to share knowledge and explore possibilities for long-term global prosperity through education. The Summit attracts CEOs, founders, family offices, and investors from around the world.

  • Contributions support the annual Summit, core operations, and the development of new programs aligned with our mission—including speaker series, youth engagement, women’s programming, and global leadership initiatives. Funds help cover planning, logistics, speaker engagement, and organizational infrastructure. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and directly advance our mission to promote global leadership, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Newport Global Summit, Inc. is a Rhode Island nonprofit corporation formed on June 12, 2024 which has been granted Section 501(c)(3) status by the IRS. Tax ID: 99-3532320. Contributions may be tax deductible under Internal Revenue Code Sections 170, 2055, 2106, and 2522. Please contact if you need a copy of our IRS determination letter.
