Robert is a Partner at McLaughlin & Stern LLP, a 125 year-old law firm based in New York and West Palm Beach specializing in sophisticated family office and trusts and estates matters. He holds an MBA (EMBL-HSG) from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, a Juris Doctor (JD) from New York Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University.
For over a decade, Robert has represented the owners of closely held enterprises and family offices. Robert counsels clients on a wide range of business and family office governance issues and he advises, educates and guides clients through the challenges related to operating and managing businesses, real estate, tangible assets and other properties.
Robert leads and coordinates succession, tax, regulatory and financial advisors using an iterative approach to match strategies to evolving value systems. In advising clients, Robert applies a hands-on business-minded approach geared toward accumulative growth, economic and legal stability, and cost management.
He is a dual-citizen of Italy and the United States and speaks English, Italian, German and Spanish. He is also a Young Leader with the American Swiss Foundation where he served member of the Board of Directors through 2021.
