James C. Bly, Jr. is a Founder, Principal and currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of FODIS, LP (Family Office Direct Investment Services). He has over 40 years of experience working with business owning families and single-family offices on direct investment matters related to growing larger, more valuable businesses; financing the growth of privately-owned companies; completing generational transitions of operating businesses; and designing and implementing shareholder liquidity plans. FODIS specializes in serving Business Owning Families and Family Offices, which own upper middle market companies or complex portfolios of operating businesses or operating assets. Most of FODIS's clients are second through seventh generation family-controlled business enterprises or single-family offices.

Mr. Bly is also a Managing Director and North American Practice Leader of EY's Family Enterprise Business Services (FEBS) practice, which EY acquired from FODIS in 2017. Mr. Bly has served as a Trustee, Director, Committee Member, or Advisory Board Member to various single-family offices, family business holding companies, family-owned businesses, and business owning estates. Mr. Bly has either chaired or served on Finance, Investment, Strategy, Risk Management, or Nominating and Governance Committees of the boards of such entities.
