Harry Philbrick

Executive Director, Newport Art Museum

Harry Philbrick has over 30 years of experience in museum management, exhibition development, and educational programming, with a particular interest in contemporary and historic American art.  Philbrick became the Executive Director of the Newport Art Museum in 2025.  Prior to that he was Interim Director of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Museum, Interim Director of the Fabric Workshop and Museum, founded and led Philadelphia Contemporary from 2016 – 2023, was Director of the PAFA Museum from 2011 – 2016, and  Director of The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. from 1996 – 2010. He lives with his family in Jamestown.
