Benjamin duPont
Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Chartline Investments
Ben duPont has spent his career finding the opportunities others walk right past and building things around them. He is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Chartline Capital Partners, a Wilmington, Delaware-based venture capital firm with a team of six that backs enterprise and industrial technology companies modernizing core industries through data and automation. Chartline's approach is hands-on and deeply collaborative: the team partners closely with founders at key inflection points and is known for rolling up their sleeves to help portfolio companies find their best customers.
That same instinct for spotting what others miss led Ben to co-author Non-Obvious Thinking: How to See What Others Miss with Rohit Bhargava in September 2024. The book has earned praise from Tony Robbins, Adam Grant, Sal Khan, and Dorie Clark, and it's the kind of read that makes you look at the world a little differently.
Before Chartline, Ben co-founded yet2.com, a pioneering open-innovation and technology-scouting firm that attracted backing from Siemens, Bayer, Caterpillar, P&G, Honeywell, DuPont, and NTT. He served as President for nearly two decades. Earlier, he held management roles across multiple DuPont business units, including automotive, fibers, specialty chemicals, and engineering polymers.
Ben has served on the boards of UrbanBound, GigSky, Ecrio, MSCI, and Longwood Gardens; as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Tower Hill School; and as Co-founder of Zip Code Wilmington. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
