Andrew K. Reilly

Managing Director, VCFA Group

Andrew “Drew” Reilly is a Managing Director and Managing Member at VCFA Group, where he leads the origination and development of venture and growth equity secondary opportunities. Since joining VCFA in 2017, Drew has played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s reach and executing complex transactions across the secondary market.

Drew brings over two decades of investing and operating experience to VCFA. He began his career at EMC Corporation, a hyper-growth technology company, where he held various roles from 1993 to 1998. He then transitioned into entrepreneurship, co-founding SANZ (formerly ITIS Inc.), a data storage services and integration company that grew to approximately $100 million in revenue before being acquired by a private equity firm in 2000.

He went on to co-found Raging Knowledge, a natural language processing and machine learning company, which was successfully sold to FTSE-listed KMS Ltd. in 2001. In 2002, Drew co-founded Thomas Keenan Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on data storage, telecommunications, and medical device companies.

In 2008, under the mentorship of Dayton Carr—VCFA’s founder and a legendary pioneer of secondary market investing—Drew founded Accretive Capital, a secondary private equity firm specializing in GP-led fund restructurings. He also held operational leadership roles at Defense Mobile and KVH Industries prior to joining VCFA.

Founded by Dayton Carr, VCFA has been a trailblazer in the secondary market for over four decades. Drew continues to build on this legacy, helping the firm evolve its strategy and maintain its position as a trusted partner in the secondary private equity space.
